A building inspection provides you with independent and objective advice about the physical state of your property. The building inspector checks for defects in the property, either before buying a home, after renovations have been done, or after a new building has been completed.

Building inspections can be done on their own or in combination with a pest inspection or other more detailed inspections.

A building inspection provides you with an accurate overview of the property, enabling you to make an informed decision. When purchasing a home, it may provide you with negotiating power to negotiate a better price!

This varies depending on the building inspection company that you choose.  When selecting a building inspector, please ensure that they are licensed and insured, by asking to view their license and insurance certificate.

Our inspections start from $247 – please click here to view our pricing guide.

You are welcome to attend the inspection, but the best time to discuss your inspection with the inspector is when you receive your report. Once you’ve read your report, you can call the inspector to discuss it and answer any questions that you may have.

If you want to attend the inspection, you must let us know before hand and we suggest that you attend towards the end of the inspection.

If you’re a potential purchaser of the property, you must have permission from the real estate agent to attend the inspection – we’re legally not allowed to give you permission to attend.

On average, an inspection will take 1-1.5 hours, but this will vary depending on the size and condition of the property.

Once you’ve made your booking, we look after everything for you – hassle free inspections!

We organise access to the property for our inspector to carry out the inspection and we advise you of when the inspection will take place and when you should expect to receive your report.
